When All Is Gold

The trailer for a documentary I edited for the launch of the world’s first ever ‘Fair-trade Gold’. The film follows jewellery designer Stephen Webster out to unregulated gold mines in Peru. Home-made mine shafts and cyanide poisoning are just two of the very real dangers these mining families face. Made for Solidaridad, a global NGO which sets up markets for fairtrade, the film was used internationally to help explain the need for regulation and government, setting up education, safety protocols and basic health care for otherwise extremely vulnerable communities.
